Technology Day: Flux Leakage
Magnetic flux leakage testing is an established method for the non-destructive inspection of ferromagnetic materials. By magnetizing the material in a controlled manner, surface and near-surface defects can be reliably detected – particularly in bars, tubes and wire products used in industrial production.
The FOERSTER Technology Day “Flux Leakage” introduces the physical principles of this inspection method and demonstrates, using real industrial applications, how flux leakage indications are generated, which factors influence signal formation and how inspection results can be reliably interpreted.
Registration deadline: 15 August 2026
Request trainingHow do material defects become visible through magnetic flux leakage? The Flux Leakage Technology Day explains how ferromagnetic materials are magnetized, how flux leakage indications are generated and how the method is applied in the industrial inspection of bars, tubes and wire products.
Goal of the Technology Day
The goal of this technology day is to provide a solid understanding of the physical principles of magnetic flux leakage testing and the generation and interpretation of flux leakage indications. Participants will learn how magnetization and material properties influence signal formation and how defect indications can be reliably evaluated in real inspection processes.
Target Audience
This Technology Day “Flux Leakage” is aimed at inspection engineers, quality managers, operators and technical decision-makers who want to build a deeper understanding of magnetic flux leakage testing or expand their knowledge of this inspection method.
