Sustainability is an integral part of how FOERSTER operates. As a technology leader in non-destructive testing, we develop solutions that not only meet the highest quality standards but also support the responsible use of resources.

Environmental aspects are considered throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design and manufacturing to long-term operation, recycling, and end-of-life disposal. Our durable and energy-efficient testing systems help customers reduce material waste, improve process efficiency, and replace outdated equipment with modern, environmentally friendly technologies.

We are equally committed to sustainability within our own operations. Photovoltaic systems contribute to renewable energy generation at our facilities, while electric vehicle charging stations support more sustainable mobility. These measures are complemented by resource-efficient manufacturing processes, responsible energy management, and the continuous improvement of our environmental performance.

To further advance our sustainability strategy, we have defined clear climate targets. Based on our 2022 baseline year, we aim to reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂e emissions by 40% by 2032 and achieve greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045. Through targeted measures – including the expansion of our photovoltaic systems, continuous improvements in energy efficiency, and further initiatives to reduce our CO₂e footprint – we are steadily working towards these goals. We report on our progress transparently and consistently.

The implementation of our environmental policy is overseen by an Environmental Officer. At the same time, every employee contributes to achieving our environmental objectives by integrating sustainability into their daily work and continuously improving our environmental performance.
