For eddy current testing of fine wire from 0.1 to 2 mm with encircling coils

Precision testing for even the finest wires. Sensor System FD was specifically developed for nondestructive eddy current testing of fine wire, for example made of tungsten, molybdenum or austenitic materials. It enables reliable detection of surface defects at material diameters as small as 0.1 to 2 mm.

For optimal adaptation to the specific application, encircling coils are available in finely graduated sizes.

The compact test coils feature differential and absolute windings and are combined with nozzles and additional guide elements matched to the respective wire diameter.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, Sensor System FD can be easily integrated into existing production processes – both in rewinding lines and directly in drawing lines. This enables continuous monitoring of the surface quality of fine wires during production.
