DEFECTOMAT sensor systems for small dimensions
Precise surface testing at the smallest dimensions. FOERSTER offers specialized sensor systems for nondestructive eddy current testing of fine wires and tubes. They enable reliable detection of even the smallest surface defects at material diameters starting from 0.1 mm and, thanks to their compact design, can be integrated directly into existing production lines.
For particularly fine wires, Sensor System FD is the ideal solution. It inspects wires with diameters from 0.1 to 2 mm, for example made of tungsten or molybdenum, and is suitable for direct integration into rewinding or drawing lines.
DEFECTOMINI extends the application range to wires and tubes with diameters from 0.3 to 4 mm. Permanent magnetization also enables the inspection of ferromagnetic materials. Different test coils, holders and optional roller guides allow the system to be adapted to the specific testing task.
