edevis Thermography Solutions
Active thermography for precise non-destructive testing
Expanding the possibilities of non-destructive testing. With edevis, the FOERSTER Group expands its portfolio with powerful solutions for active thermography. The name edevis stands for “enhanced defect visualization” and reflects the company’s core expertise: making hidden defects and material properties visible using imaging-based thermographic methods.
Founded in 2004 and based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, edevis specializes in non-destructive testing of materials and components and develops systems for a wide range of industrial inspection tasks.
edevis expertise ranges from the inspection of composite structures and crack detection in metallic components to the evaluation of welded, soldered, adhesive and other joints. In its own test laboratories, edevis conducts feasibility studies and serial inspections using different thermal excitation methods. This makes it possible to determine at an early stage which inspection method and system configuration are best suited to a specific application.
Depending on the inspection task, optical lock-in, laser, induction, pulse or ultrasound-excited thermography can be used. The portfolio ranges from flexible laboratory and development systems to automated inline solutions for industrial inspection processes. The systems are complemented by high-performance infrared cameras and the modular DisplayImg software platform, combining system control, data acquisition, analysis and automation within one environment.
