OTvis Product Family
Optically excited lock-in thermography for precise non-destructive testing
Reveal hidden defects across large areas without contact. OTvis systems use optically excited lock-in thermography for reliable, non-contact inspection of fiber-reinforced composites and other materials. Periodically modulated light generates thermal waves within the component. Delaminations, inclusions, corrosion, variations in wall thickness or defects in adhesive bonds disturb the heat flow and can be detected by an infrared camera and evaluated using dedicated software.
The method is particularly suitable for large-area inspections and complex component geometries, providing depth-resolved information about hidden defects.
The OTvis product family ranges from the compact OTvis 3600 for flexible inspection tasks and the fully integrated OTcam 3600 PRO for mobile and automated inspections to powerful 4, 6 and 8 kW systems for larger inspection areas, laboratory applications and industrial production environments. The OTcam combines optical excitation, infrared imaging and lock-in thermography within one compact all-in-one inspection head and can also be integrated directly into robotic systems.
