PTvis 6000
Pulse thermography for fast layer and material inspection
Characterize material properties and near-surface defects without contact. PTvis 6000 uses active pulse thermography for fast non-destructive inspection of layers, coatings and composite materials. A short, intense light pulse with up to 6 kJ heats the component surface while a fast infrared camera captures the subsequent heat flow.
Delaminations, porosity, corrosion beneath coatings and variations in layer thickness influence the thermal response and can be visualized through software-based evaluation. Pulse phase analysis also enables quantitative characterization of material properties such as layer thickness or thermal diffusivity. The compact system is suited for flexible inspection tasks in quality assurance, laboratory and industrial environments.
