HRO Hand Rotating Unit

High-resolution borehole inspection with rotating eddy current probes

Reliable detection of cracks and defects in boreholes. The FOERSTER HRO Hand Rotating Unit is a compact inspection tool for the non-destructive testing of boreholes using rotating eddy current probes. It mechanically drives the probe while simultaneously transmitting the sensor signals reliably to the connected testing instrument.

By rotating the probe inside the borehole, the surface is scanned evenly and with high resolution over the entire circumference. This enables the reliable detection of even very small cracks or material discontinuities in safety-critical components.

Adjustable rotation speeds of up to 3000 rpm allow the inspection process to be optimally adapted to different probe types and inspection requirements.

Designed for mobile and flexible use, the HRO features a compact design, low weight and robust construction. Its ergonomic handling ensures comfortable operation even during longer inspection tasks in industrial environments.

In combination with the FOERSTER TCM platform, the HRO provides a reliable solution for manual borehole inspection in applications such as aerospace components, power generation equipment and automotive parts.
