More accuracy in coin testing. The Coin Testing Station is a specially developed accessory for the portable conductivity measuring instrument SIGMATEST, designed for precise testing of coins and coin blanks. Made from a solid, stable aluminium block, it enables reliable and reproducible positioning of both the probe and the test specimen, reducing measurement deviations and ensuring consistent measurement conditions.
SIGMATEST determines the electrical conductivity of non-ferromagnetic metals using the eddy current method. Especially when measuring small geometries such as coins, a defined probe position has a decisive influence on measurement quality. The Coin Testing Station helps users maintain these conditions reliably and achieve repeatable measurement results.
The station can be used together with SIGMATEST as well as with the TCM App SIGMATEST and is ideally suited for quality control of coins and blanks, material verification, and sorting or comparison of alloys. In particular during series measurements or reference measurements, it significantly improves repeatability compared to freehand testing.
