MULTICAT
Large area detection system for vehicle-based large-area surveys
Fast and systematic surveying of large areas. The FOERSTER MULTICAT 4.850 is a robust, non-magnetic probe carrier designed for fast and precise large-area surveys. The all-terrain system is towed by a suitable vehicle and can be equipped with up to eight FEREX MG-10-550 probes. With a fixed track width of 2 m, it enables efficient surveying of large areas.
Depending on the required measurement point density, the MULTICAT can be configured with four probes at a spacing of 0.5 m or eight probes at a spacing of 0.25 m. With the standard configuration, an area coverage of up to 2 hectares per hour can be achieved.
In combination with FEREX PNC and DATAMONITOR 4, magnetometer data is recorded with geo-referenced position information and can be visualized as a magnetic field map during the survey. The open GPS interface enables the integration of systems from various manufacturers.
Thanks to its robust design and high off-road capability, the MULTICAT is suitable for demanding large-area projects, including UXO detection as well as geological and geotechnical surveys.
