DATAMONITOR 4

Efficient planning and execution of large-area surveys. DATAMONITOR 4 is the central software for project preparation, navigation and data acquisition in multi-channel magnetometer surveys. It supports large-area surveys on land as well as on and underwater, combining control of the FEREX sensor network with precise navigation using differential GPS.

Projects and survey areas can be conveniently prepared before data acquisition begins. Coordinates can be imported from coordinate lists or directly from the dGPS, while irregular survey areas can be easily defined. A dedicated assistant supports project preparation and enables the integration of map material. Large areas can be automatically divided into fields of freely definable size, and the respective coordinates can be exported, for example, for use by additional survey teams.

During the survey, DATAMONITOR 4 supports navigation along optimized survey tracks or free navigation within the survey area. GPS signal quality, speed and other navigation parameters are monitored automatically. Surveys can be started, paused, stopped and resumed at any time.

Measurement data from the sensor network is displayed directly during acquisition and recorded together with position information. Relevant events can already be marked during the survey for subsequent evaluation. Recorded data can then be easily transferred to DATA2LINE for further analysis.
