FE wire before cold forming
FE wire is wire containing iron, as used prior to further processing in the form of drawing, bending, etc. Due to the high permeability of FE wire, it is absolutely necessary to pre-magnetize the material so that eddy current defect testing can be performed.
DEFECTOMAT: The DEFECTOMAT product family is used for the precision testing of FE wire for point and transverse defects in the material surface.
CIRCOGRAPH: The CIRCOGRAPH test systems are used for reliably detecting longitudinal defects in the material by scanning the surface in a helical path without making contact using eddy current.
EMAG: FE wire must be magnetized prior to eddy current testing and demagnetized afterwards. The high-performance EMAG demagnetization unit is space-saving thanks to its short coils and can be integrated in the testing line.
